Measurements of oceanic organosulfur compounds made during the Charles Darwin 83 research cruise as part of OMEX in the North East Atlantic during December 1993 and January 1994

This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic organosulfur compounds made by Chong Nguyen Ba during the Charles Darwin 83 research cruise in the North East Atlantic as part of the Ocean Margin EXchange (OMEX) programme. The cruise began on 13th December 1993 and ended on 13th January 1994 with a spatial coverage of +25N to +50N latitude and +6W to +34W longitude. The data consists of: -173 measurements of the concentration of dimethyl sulphide (DMS) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by purging, cryogenic trapping and gas chromatography -160 measurements of the concentration of the dimethylsulphoniopropionate (DMSP) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by gas chromatography.
