The Application of Wavelet Analysis in Signal Processing for Machine Learning

This dataset contains signal recordings from an analog Infrared (IR) rain sensor (voltage output). The data is divided into two distinct sets of events: rain drop detections and environmental disturbances. All recorded events have an equal length of 30 samples, acquired at a sampling frequency of 8 Hz. The data is structured in three columns: the first column represents the raw sensor output (voltage level mV), the second column contains the first derivative of the signal, and the third column is a binary indicator (1 or 0) marking the exact moment a drop leaves the sensor or the sensor is covered.
