Mediterranean Oak microbial communities

In this study, we simultaneously tested the effects of precipitation and host tree species on soil microbial communities, using two Mediterranean Oak species along a precipitation gradient in southern Spain. Specifically, we characterized the prokaryotic and fungal communities under the two dominant evergreen oak species in the Iberian Peninsula, Quercus ilex and Quercus suber, along six sites varying in precipitation.
