Campylobacter jejuni-derived cytolethal distending toxin promotes cancer metastasis

Seventy-one patients with early-stage CRC (Stage I and IIA) undergoing surgery were recruited in our cohort (Discovery cohort). Specifically, there were 34 post-operative patients occurred distant metastasis within 3 years (Metastasis group), while 37 patients remained metastasis-free during our follow-up (Non-metastasis group).
