This dataset contains disaster information during snowmelt flood events in the Xinjiang region, covering the period from 1984 to 2020. Compiled from collected and investigated meteorological disaster data across the Xinjiang region, it includes the snowmelt flood event period data (.xls) for the Xinjiang region from 1984 to 2020. This dataset can be utilized to characterize the spatiotemporal distribution of snowmelt floods in the Xinjiang region between 1984 and 2020, providing fundamental disaster reference information for research on snowmelt flood disasters in Xinjiang. This single disaster record includes 8 types of attribute information: city (prefecture, prefecture-level city), county (district, county-level city), name of the disaster occurrence location, longitude, latitude, record year, disaster end date, and actual meteorological elements.
