Willingness to Pay for Quality of Maize and Beans Using Experimental Auctions in Tanzania

The main aim of the survey and experiment were to elicit consumer willingness to pay (WTP) for different quality grades of maize and beans. The data includes demographic information about the households (e.g., age, and sex), socioeconomics (crop income, household income, value of production and food security) and farm characteristics (e.g., farm size ). The experimental auctions were conducted using the Becker-DeGroot-Marschak method to elicit WTP for the different quality of maize and beans.本调研与实验的核心目标为测定消费者对不同品质等级的玉米与豆类的支付意愿（willingness to pay, WTP）。数据集涵盖家庭人口统计信息（如年龄、性别）、社会经济维度数据（作物收入、家庭总收入、生产产值与粮食安全状况）以及农场经营特征（如耕地面积）。实验拍卖环节采用贝克尔-德格鲁特-马斯查克（Becker-DeGroot-Marschak）方法开展，以此采集不同品质玉米与豆类的支付意愿相关数据。
