AVHRR Atmospheric Motion Vectors (BUFR) - Metop - Polar

Winds at all heights below the tropopause in the polar regions (latitudes higher than 55º), derived from the METOP AVHRR instrument IR 10.8 channel. Atmospheric motion vectors (AMVs) are a valuable observation type for providing dynamical information for forecast models.
