Content analysis of Latin American scientific production on alternative epistemologies and responsible research evaluation

Research dataset that compiles and organizes Latin American scholarly output related to alternative epistemologies and responsible research evaluation. It consolidates, across two primary sheets, all necessary information from content analyses derived from the publications. The first sheet systematizes 52 documents of various types (articles, books, chapters, theses, conference papers, working papers, and manifestos) across 22 fields, including bibliographic details, document type, primary and secondary themes, theoretical and methodological perspectives, central concepts, findings, contributions to the discourse on alternative epistemologies, and recommendations for future research. The second sheet serves as a trilingual operational glossary, containing 66 terms associated with key principles of responsible evaluation presented in Spanish, Portuguese, and English to facilitate terminological standardization and comparative mapping across research traditions. The purpose of this dataset is to provide a foundation for qualitative and quantitative analyses that identify thematic patterns and knowledge gaps, promote the visibility of works published between 2019 and 2024, and support other researchers in replicating, extending, or complementing this documentary review. By publishing it in open access, its reuse, proper citation, and the development of multicultural studies integrating Spanish, Portuguese, and English are encouraged.
