Dengue Cases, Deaths, Population, and Covariates in Brazil’s Intermediate Regions (2014–2024)

This dataset accompanies the manuscript on dengue incidence, mortality, and case-fatality in Brazil. It contains data at the intermediate region level for the period 2014–2024.
Sheet 1 – cases_deaths_population_data: Includes identifiers (area code), year, age groups, number of dengue cases and deaths, resident population, and geographic centroids (UTM coordinates).
Sheet 2 – covariates_data: Contains socioeconomic and health system variables, including illiteracy, private insurance coverage, hospital bed distribution (public, private, ICU), and dengue serotype proportions (DENV-1, DENV-2).
This data dictionary provides variable names and detailed descriptions to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
