The NSW Grazing Study

A scientific study to establish the impacts and benefits of stock grazing in National Parks. The study took place in selected River Red Gum, Black Box and Cypress pine reserves in the Riverina, Central West and Western NSW. \r\nA total of 451 sites were selected spanning an area of 0.4M km² to obtain detailed measures of ecology, biodiversity and grazing intensity. The aim of the study was to inform decisions about the future of Red gum and Cypress pine grazing permits and licences.

本研究为一项旨在明确国家公园（National Parks）内牲畜放牧的生态影响与综合效益的科学研究。研究选取了新南威尔士州（New South Wales，简称NSW）里弗赖纳（Riverina）、中西部及西部地区的河岸赤桉（River Red Gum）、黑盒桉（Black Box）与柏木松（Cypress pine）保护区开展。
研究共布设451个样地，覆盖面积达40万平方公里，以获取生态学、生物多样性及放牧强度的精细化实测数据。本研究的核心目标是为赤桉与柏木松放牧许可及执照的未来管理决策提供科学依据。
