CTD measurements acquired in a former river channel (“Swiss Cheese Lake”) in the Mackenzie Delta, Northwest Territories, Canada@en

This dataset contains CTD measurements, taken together with temperature gradient or gas concentration measurements in September 2021 at 53 locations off Tuktoyaktuk Island and in a small lake (“Lake 3”) between the villages of Tuktoyaktuk and Inuvik, as well as in a former river channel (“Swiss Cheese Lake”) in the Mackenzie Delta, Northwest Territories, Canada. The measurements were part of the “Mackenzie Delta Permafrost Field Campaign” (mCan2021) within the “Modular Observation solutions for Earth Systems” (MOSES) program. Data is recorded using a CastAway-CTD that is manually lowered to the bottom of the lake or ocean at the measurement sites and contains information about water conductivity, temperature and depth and GPS position. Especially the water temperature and conductivity/salinity are important for gas concentration data processing. Data ist provided as unprocessed raw data.本数据集包含2021年9月在加拿大西北地区麦肯齐三角洲图克托亚克图克岛周边海域的53个测点、图克托亚克图克与伊努维克两村之间的小型湖泊（“3号湖”），以及一处名为“瑞士奶酪湖（Swiss Cheese Lake）”的古河道采集的CTD（Conductivity Temperature Depth，电导率-温度-深度）测量数据，同步采集了温度梯度或气体浓度测量数据。本次测量隶属于“地球系统模块化观测方案”（Modular Observation solutions for Earth Systems，MOSES）项目下设的“麦肯齐三角洲冻土野外科考计划”（mCan2021）。数据采用CastAway-CTD型设备采集，该设备通过手动下放至测点的湖泊或海底，记录水体电导率、温度、深度以及GPS定位信息。其中水体温度与电导率/盐度数据对气体浓度数据的后处理尤为关键。本数据集提供未经处理的原始数据。
