Equality, security and community (ESC), wave 1, 2000-2001

A national study exploring the economic, social and political factors that shape public policy, and how these policies determine societal values, attitudes and well-being among individuals and communities. The survey component was designed to profile information, for a sample of Canadians, on their social networks, well-being (including employment status, occupation, income, economic security, education, health, etc.), participation in civil society (group memberships, volunteer activities, and charitable giving, voting, political party identification), their attitudes towards their role and efficacy of the state, support or opposition for government, and other existing or possible public policies.本研究为一项全国性学术研究，旨在探究塑造公共政策的经济、社会与政治因素，以及这些政策如何决定个体与社群的社会价值观、态度与福祉水平。其调查模块旨在为加拿大人样本采集相关信息以构建信息画像，采集内容涵盖：社交网络情况；福祉状况（包括就业状态、职业、收入、经济保障程度、教育背景、健康状况等）；公民社会参与情况（团体成员身份、志愿活动、慈善捐赠、投票行为、政党认同）；对国家角色与治理效能的态度；对政府的支持或反对立场；以及针对各类现行或拟议公共政策的态度倾向。
