Cx30 deficiency induced acceleration of dopaminergic neuron death upon MPTP toxicity. Gene expressions in the striatum of wild type and Cx30 KO mice after MPTP treatment were different in the aspect of neuroprotective A2 response. We have resected striata from wild type and Cx30 deficient mice 1 day after MPTP treatment. Each group contained 2 mice. Collected striata were pooled for analysis.
