This dataset was developed by the Athens University of Economics and Business, and consists of 17,264 open-source software projects primarily created by enterprises rather than volunteer developers. It guarantees high accuracy by analyzing projects hosted on GitHub and identifying enterprise-participated projects via corporate email domain identifiers. The dataset provides comprehensive metadata covering various project attributes, including project size, number of developers, license type, and more. This dataset aims to resolve universal challenges in open-source software research, especially studies investigating the differences between enterprise-led and volunteer-driven development paradigms.
