Southern Surveyor Voyage SS 02/95 Underway Data

This dataset contains the Underway (UWY) data collected on Southern Surveyor voyage SS 02/95. This cruise took place in the Gulf of Carpentaria during 13 February - 19 March 1995, under the leadership of John Salini. This dataset has NOT been processed and is archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage. The standard Underway (=continuously recorded) dataset from a research voyage includes Navigation (NAV), Sounder, Thermosalinograph (TSG) and Meteorological (MET) data. NAV data includes GPS (Global Positioning System) measurements of latitude, longitude, ship's direction and speed. MET data includes atmospheric temperature, humidity and pressure, wind speed and direction, and incident radiation intensity. Data are recorded at or averaged over 1 minute intervals.

科研航次的标准走航（即连续记录）数据集通常包含导航（Navigation, NAV）、测深仪（Sounder）、温盐记录仪（Thermosalinograph, TSG）以及气象（Meteorological, MET）四类数据。其中，导航数据包含全球定位系统（GPS, Global Positioning System）采集的纬度、经度、船舶航向与航速信息；气象数据涵盖大气温度、湿度、气压、风速、风向及入射辐射强度等参数。所有数据均以1分钟为间隔进行记录或取平均后存储。
