Due to boron involvement in microbial metabolism, the critical dosage of boron plays a significant role in promoting efficient algal growth and photosynthetic activity within MBGS. Furthermore, the contribution of boron to structural and cell wall stability makes it crucial for ensuring stable operation of MBGS under impact resistance conditions. Herein, we investigated the potential contribution of boron (in the form of boric acid, H3BO3) in enhancing MBGS symbiosis and increasing the stability of MBGS particles by conducting, providing a theoretical basis for the future application of MBGS in wastewater treatment.
