Mexico: tobacco planted area 2015-2022

In 2022, area planted with tobacco in Mexico amounted to 6.2 thousand hectares, decrease of nearly 13 percent in comparison to the previous year. These plantations are located mainly in the coastal states of Nayarit, Veracruz, and Chiapas, with Nayarit being the state with the largest tobacco plantation area in the country.
