Large-scale genomic SNP dataset for Central and Southeast European Turkey oak (Quercus cerris L.) populations generated by ddRAD-seq method

This dataset comprises sequence data of 321 Turkey oak (Quercus cerris L.) individuals sampled in 32 natural populations across the Balkan Peninsula and the Carpathian Basin. This "2.0 dataset" is connected to our previous project (BioProject ID: PRJNA927246), which involved the sequencing of 88 individuals on a MiSeq platform. In the current project, sequencing was performed using a NovaSeq 6000 instrument, including 291 newly sampled individuals and 30 that were resequenced from the previous dataset (the individuals of populations HU2, BU1 and BU2). This expanded dataset is well-suited for inferring genetic diversity, differentiation, and population structure, as well as investigating selection and local adaptation.
