AI Research Trends in Science Education

This dataset supports the article “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research Trends in Science Education: A Critical Review of Ethical Concerns” by Ulku Seher Budak and Kemal Akoglu.The dataset includes the coded and analyzed publications reviewed in the study, focusing on research trends in artificial intelligence applications within science education and the ethical issues addressed in this literature. Data were extracted through a systematic screening and critical review process and categorized according to publication year, research focus, educational context, AI application types, and ethical dimensions (e.g., bias, transparency, data privacy, accountability, and equity).The dataset is intended to enhance transparency, reproducibility, and secondary analysis related to AI research trends and ethical considerations in science education.
