Developmental mouse brain atlas (DeMBA) with continuous coverage of postnatal day 4 to 56 (v2)

This dataset contains atlas data (template and segmentation volumes) for the mouse brain with coverage of every day between postnatal day 4 and 56. We used spatial transformation matrices defined by 3D-to-3D registration of serial two-photon tomography (STPT) template volumes for key ages (postnatal day 4, 7, 14, 21, 28 and 56) to create synthetic, interpolated templates for intermediate ages. The segmentation volumes from the adult Allen Mouse brain Common Coordinate Framework (version 3, 2017 and 2022 editions) and Kim lab developmental Common Common Coordinate Framework are transformed and interpolated using the same matrices. This atlas provides a continuous representation of the postnatal mouse brain that is fully compatible with the Allen Mouse Reference Atlas Ontology. We integrate the atlas volumes in tools for spatial registration of data from postnatal mouse brains, ensuring that the atlas can be used for spatiotemporal analysis.
