The total size of the complete genome of G. oxydans NL71 is 3,403,780 bp with a G+C content of 55.71%, which is similar to other gluconobacter. The total length of the predicted protein-coding sequences (CDSs) is 3,075,387 bp, making up 90.35% of the genome. Chromosome sequence annotation revealed 3226 predicted protein-encoding open reading frame (ORFs) , of which 50% were connected to the COGs and 93%, 36%, 35%, 92% were connected to the NR, Swiss-Port, GO, TrEMBL respectively. Approximately 54% of the CDSs were assigned a KEGG orthologous number and were involved in 154 predicted metabolic pathway. There are a total of 5 copies of rRNA operons and 59 genes encoding tRNAs found on the chromosome. In the genome of G. oxydans NL71, we also found 10 GIs with 189,204 bp, 3 Prophage with 52,054 bp, and none CRISPR. The genome sequence of G. oxydans 621H (2.7 Mbp) (GenBank accession no. CP000004 to CP000009) were used as the reference.
