VPRS 15431 Outward Letter Books (GRS 1189)

Letter Books were the means by which copies of correspondence despatched from the office were retained for future reference.This series comprises of letter books for the date range covered. Some were bound in volumes but in the later years the folios were not bound and remain as bundles. At the time the series was appraised several items listed on the Accession Consignment List were missing.

函件簿（Letter Books）是留存办公室发出的往来函件副本以供日后查阅的档案载体。本系列涵盖了对应时间范围内的全部函件簿。部分函件簿曾被装订为合订本，但后期的活页未进行装订，仅以散册捆束的形式留存。在对本系列档案进行鉴定评估期间，入库移交清单（Accession Consignment List）上所列的部分物品已遗失。
