Indonesian Disaster Dataset Based on Type for Technology-Based Disaster Management and Mitigation

We present a comprehensive dataset on natural disasters in Indonesia that occurred from January 2002 to December 2022. This data was collected through a series of open reports obtained from various sources including the Regional Disaster Management Agency. Next, data consolidation and summarization were carried out using Excel. This data set consists of 12 types of disasters such as floods, landslides, floods and landslides, tidal waves / abrasion, tornadoes, droughts, forest and land fires, earthquakes, tsunamis, earthquakes and tsunamis, volcanic eruptions and climate change. as well as the number of people affected over a 21 year period in 34 provinces in Indonesia. Data regarding the number of disasters, number of victims, and infrastructure damage are also provided in this data. From a statistical point of view, disaster data in Indonesia can be used in various data processing applications for various purposes, for example, disaster mitigation planning, preparation of emergency response plans, decision or policy making, development of early warning systems, public education and awareness, impact evaluation and recovery, as well as used for other research and development purposes.
本研究构建了一套覆盖2002年1月至2022年12月印度尼西亚自然灾害的综合性数据集。该数据集的原始数据来源于包括区域灾害管理局(Regional Disaster Management Agency)在内的多渠道公开报告,后续通过Excel软件完成了数据的整合与汇总工作。本数据集涵盖12类灾害,包括洪水、滑坡、洪涝滑坡复合型灾害、潮汐波/海岸侵蚀、龙卷风、干旱、森林与土地火灾、地震、海啸、地震海啸复合型灾害、火山喷发以及气候变化相关灾害,同时记录了印尼全国34个省份在这21年间的受灾人口数量。此外,数据集还包含灾害发生频次、受灾人数以及基础设施损毁情况等相关统计数据。从统计学应用角度而言,该印尼自然灾害数据集可广泛应用于多类场景:灾害减缓规划、应急响应预案编制、决策与政策制定、预警系统开发、公众防灾教育与意识提升、灾害影响评估与灾后恢复,以及其他各类科研与开发工作。
