Giles County, TN Wind Profiler Data from the 1995 Southern Oxidants Study (SOS) Nashville/Middle Tennessee Ozone Study Data Base
收藏资源简介:
M1 - Giles County, TN Profiler Data The Southern Oxidants Study (SOS) conducted a major field research campaign in Nashville/Middle Tennessee area in June and July 1994 and 1995. The goal of this study was to improve scientific understanding of the processes that control the production and distribution of ozone in the troposphere. The 915 MHz Doppler radar collected wind data at Giles County (TN) during the 1995 Southern Oxidants Study (SOS) Nasheville/Middle Tennessee Ozone study. Vertical wind profiles begin at 112 m above the ground, proceed in 56-m increments for 60 increments, and end about 3 km above the ground. A set of wind values is obtained by pulsing the radar for 25.1 s for each of three antenna beams. Consensus values are computed from 30 such consecutive sets. The study was conducted from June 21, 1995 through July 21, 1995. The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) was the coordinator for the 1995 For more information on the Southern Oxidants Study and Oxidants Study Nashville/Middle Tennessee Ozone Study.
