Expression of profilin 2 isoforms was associated with lung metastasis of colorectal cancer as revealed by a comprehensive gene expression study using mice model

Cell lines that were highly metastatic to the lung were sequenced to explore the difference of gene expression. In a mouse model, cell lines that were highly metastatic to the lung were established by injecting colorectal cancer cells through the tail vein and recovering them from the lungs. Differential gene expression was investigated using DNA microarrays by comparing the cells with their parental cells.
