Mechanisms of Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (AMF) (Funneliformis mosseae) reduces heavy metal stress and promotes the growth of Populus yunnanensis

AMF inoculation could alleviate the HM toxicity on P. yunnanensis and promote poplar growth under Cd stress, and AM is a function of the root system of tree seedling in mine tailings. When fast-growing woody plants are used for phytomanagement in a wide range of tailing areas, using functional microorganisms such as AMF can enhance the HM resistance of economic tree seedlings and facilitate phytoremediation and phytomanagement in mine tailings.
