This data product provides the expected plant community composition within 175 grid cells (250 m resolution) of Tasmania, Australia. The data are provided as a spreadsheet (.csv) detailing the plant species (rows) expected to be either present (1) or absent (0) in each of the 175 grid cells (columns). \nLineage: Estimates of plant community composition for the 175 grid cells were obtained based on recorded occurrences of native plant species in Tasmania, between 1970 – 2010 (Tasmanian Natural Values Atlas). Occurrences were aggregated to each 250 m grid cell across Tasmania, with the composition of those grid cells containing sufficient numbers of species provided here (methodology reported in Mokany et al. 2012; Global Change Biology 18: 3149–3159). The position (latitude, longitude) of each of the 175 grid cells is provided.
