Note Map Surface Drain and Flash Flood – WMS

The information on surface outflow and flash flood is based on a Bavarian-wide uniform, purely topographical approach, which was developed as part of a research project led by the Technical University of Munich and analyses data available throughout Bavaria. This information is indicative and is presented in the scale range between 1:9.000 and 1:25.000. The WMS service includes the two layers “potential flow paths in heavy rain” as well as “land sinks and potential storage areas”. Information from the map must be verified locally with local knowledge. In principle, it cannot be ruled out that floods occur outside the areas and indications shown.
