To identify differentially expressed genes and key biological pathways that define toxicity following nanoparticle exposure, we performed microarray analyses on NR8383 macrophages exposed for 4 h to 2 µg/mL of NP ZnO (20 % cell viability). This project (SmartNanoTox) has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 686098. Overall design: Changes in gene expression in NR8383 cells incubated without (control) or with (2 µg/mL) of NP ZnO for 4 h were measured. For each condition, three biological replicates, at less, were performed : C1; C2; C3; C4 as controls, Z1; Z2; Z3, as exposed cells to 2 µg/mL respectively.
