THE IMPACT OF HIKING TRAILS ON UNDERSTORY VEGETATION AND MICROHABITATS: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS ACROSS THREE BIOMES IN LIMPOPO PROVINCE, SOUTH AFRICA

This dataset contains field survey data collected along hiking trails across three distinct biomes in Limpopo Province, South Africa (Northern Mistbelt Forest, Woodbush Granite Grassland, and Mamabolo Mountain Bushveld). Sampling was conducted using the line-point intercept method to measure indigenous vegetation, non-indigenous vegetation, and ground cover composition including bare ground, plant litter, rock cover, and animal droppings. These data support the findings presented in the manuscript titled "The Impact of Hiking Trails on Understory Vegetation and Microhabitats: A Comparative Analysis Across Three Biomes in Limpopo Province, South Africa" submitted to Applied Vegetation Science.
