Microbes in the aging flue-cured tobaccos

Smoking can cause a series of problems to the human health. Tobacco needs to be stored and aged for a long time after harvest in order to achieve usable quality. During this aging process, the microorganisms on tobacco played a crucial role in the quality changes of tobacco. We discovered microorganisms in the aging flue-cured tobaccos through metagenomic sequencing.
