资源简介:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic carbon dioxide made by Michel Frankignoulle; oceanic nitrous oxide made by Ian Joint; and oceanic ammonium made by Malcolm Woodward during the RRS Charles Darwin 114B research cruise on the Iberian Slope in the North-East Atlantic, as part of the Joint Global Ocean Flux Study (JGOFS) and the Ocean Margin EXchange (OMEX) programmes. The cruise began on 11th August 1998 and ended on 24th August 1998 with a spatial coverage of +42N and +43N latitude and +9W and +10W longitude.
The data set consists of:
-53 measurements of the concentration of nitrous oxide (N2O) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by gas chromatography;
-52 measurements of the saturation of nitrous oxide (N2O) in the water column by gas chromatography and computation from concentration;
-112 measurements of the partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) in the water column, computed from pH and alkalinity;
-112 measurements of the concentration of carbon (total inorganic) (TCO2) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase), computed from pH and alkalinity; and
-4 measurements of the concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by colorimetric analysis.
