Cisplatin sensitivity is independent of germline development ability and insulin secretion ability but linked to the TAP targeting phenotype. Animals with a large increase in the ratio of oxidized v/s reduced ASNA-1 will still display the cisplatin sensitivity phenotype indicating that increased ASNA-1 levels do not protect these mutants from cisplatin induced death.
