Access to French nationality

In 2015, the annual flow of acquisitions of French nationality by decree and marriage with 86,608 new French was up 12.0 %. Acquisitions by decree increase 6.9 % and marriage acquisitions by 27.0 %. It should be noted that these two main methods of acquiring French nationality are in addition to acquisitions by early declaration, another type of declaration and without formalities, for which data for 2015 are not yet available.
