This dataset contains experimental images acquired for the study of an LPG torch with a fuel flow rate of 0.26 L/min. The data correspond to optical measurements of thermal and fluid-flow phenomena using a speckle-based visualization methodology. Processing is recommended to be performed using cross-correlation techniques, which is why images are provided in pairs. Image Format All images are stored in .bmp format. File Naming Convention The dataset follows the naming structure: ImgA000000.bmp where the numeric index identifies the acquisition sequence. Reference and Flow Images Even-numbered images correspond to reference images. Odd-numbered images correspond to flow/disturbed-field images. Examples: File Description ImgA000000.bmp Reference image ImgA000001.bmp Flow image ImgA000002.bmp Reference image ImgA000003.bmp Flow image Special Condition for Folder 1 Only Folder 1 contains reference images.The remaining folders contain only flow/disturbed-field images. Experimental Purpose The images were acquired to analyze refractive-index variations associated with temperature gradients and fluid-flow behavior. The dataset can be used for: speckle displacement analysis, optical flow estimation, refractive-index reconstruction, temperature-field estimation using the Gladstone–Dale relation, and validation of numerical or experimental optical diagnostics methods. Recommended Pairing For processing: each odd image should be compared against its preceding even image reference, except in folders where only disturbed images are available, in which case Folder 1 references should be used.
