The spatial data set includes the noise mapping of the rail network for the urban area of Freiburg im Breisgau in 2022 (LDEN). The noise maps are the basis of the noise action plans and cover all roads with more than 4,000 vehicles per day, all light rail lines, the Breisacher and the Höllental railway line, as well as all commercial installations listed in Annex 1 of the Environmental Noise Directive (IED installations). Content of noise mapping: spatial representation of noise maps, tabular information on the number of people exposed to noise, estimated extent of adverse health effects and harassment. Noise immissions from road, rail and commercial noise shall be calculated and assessed on the basis of a digital three-dimensional urban model, separately in accordance with the calculation methods established by the European Union for the time ranges 24 hours (LDEN) and night hours (22.00 to 6 a.m., LNight). In the noise maps, the sound load is shown on the basis of different colors. The maps reflect the sound level loads at a calculation height of 4 m above the terrain.
