IMWD-IR: An Infrared Micro-Weld Defect Dataset for Smart Meter Metrological Inspection

IMWD-IR is an infrared thermography dataset designed for micro-scale weld defect detection in smart meter metrological inspection scenarios. The dataset contains 1,576 infrared thermal images with pixel-level annotations of nine defect categories, including varistor leakage, solder overflow, spatter, crack, cold solder joint, relay solder leakage, solder bump, SMD thermocouple anomaly, and metering chip leakage. The data were collected under real industrial production conditions, with strict radiometric preprocessing to ensure measurement consistency. The dataset supports research on infrared small-object detection, measurement-aware computer vision, and industrial defect analysis. This dataset corresponds to the experiments reported in the associated IEEE TIM submission.
