Comparative RNA-seq of P. yoelii WT vs pynot1-g null parasites in schizont and gametocyte stages

In order to assess what PyNOT1-G contributes to Plasmodium gametocyte commitment and maturation, we conducted comparative RNA-seq on enriched schizonts and gametocytes. We identified many transcripts that are dysregulated in accordance with the gene deletion phenotype. Overall design: Three biological replicates were conducted per parasite type, each with a control parasite line done in parallel.
