AN ANALYSIS OF POLLEN FROM 5MTUMR 2837, MANCOS CANYON, COLORADO

Site 5MTUMR 2837 is a PII to PIlI transition site in Mancos Canyon located approximately 4 miles southwest of the confluence of Mancos and Johnson Canyon. The site lies approximately 130 meters north of the Mancos River. Six features were sampled within the site, all associated with occupation levels. It was hoped that analysis of these samples would provide data concerning the function of the rooms sampled and environmental data for comparison with other sites which have been sampled in the Mancos Canyon.遗址5MTUMR 2837是一处位于曼科斯峡谷（Mancos Canyon）的PII至PIII过渡遗址，地处曼科斯河（Mancos River）与约翰逊峡谷（Johnson Canyon）汇流处西南约4英里处。该遗址距曼科斯河以北约130米。本次在遗址内共对6处遗迹进行了采样，所有遗迹均与居住层位相关。研究期望通过对这些样品的分析，获取所采样房址的功能相关数据与环境背景数据，用于与曼科斯峡谷内已完成采样的其他遗址开展对比研究。
