Since 2003, researchers who were later associated with the Institute for the Study of Protest and Social Movements (Institut für Protest- und Bewegungsforschung, ipb, http://protestinstitut.eu) have conducted surveys at demonstrations. The focus of the survey is particularly on socio-demographic characteristics, political attitudes and perceptions of the war held by the respondents encountered at the demonstration. The demonstration took place on February 15 2003 in Berlin. According to the police, it was formed by 500,000 participants. On the same day, demonstrations against the war took place allover the world, particularly in Western Europe, and in the United States. In seven European cities as well as in three cities in the US, a consortium of researchers conducted this survey. The data available here cover the Berlin respondents to the survey.
