The study examined the role of negative emotions and emotion avoidance in victim derogation. 100 undergraduate students watched five videos depicting real, emotionally-arousing situations with innocent victims and evaluated the victims. victim rating (vicRate), negative emotions (panas), just-world beliefs (BJW), and emotion avoidance (meaq) were assessed.<br>
