Share of people who frequent privately run coffee shops in Japan 2023, by age

According to a survey conducted in August 2023 in Japan, the share of respondents in their sixties and above who stated that they frequently visited privately run coffee shops amounted to 20.8 percent, constituting the leading age group in this regard. Many younger people seem to frequent coffee shop chains, rather than privately run shops.
