A Comprehensive Investigation of Fungal Endophytes in Coffee Leaves

The goal of this study was to investigate the diversity and putative ecological roles of fungal endophytes in coffee leaves, with a focus on understanding how geographic location, coffee variety, and farming practices impact these microbial communities. By analyzing samples from different coffee varieties, agricultural management practices, sun regimes, and leaf developmental stages, the study aimed to provide insights into the factors influencing fungal endophyte diversity in coffee crops. The findings of this research are relevant for understanding the role of microbial communities in coffee production and may contribute to future efforts in shaping coffee's microbiome for improved agricultural practices and crop management.
