Parks, squares and gardens with canopy index of the Métropole de Lyon

A canopy index for each of these parks, squares and gardens was calculated from a ratio between tree stratum and surface area, grouped into 3 classes (lower tree = less than 30 % of trees, rather wooded = between 30 and 60 % of trees, very treed = more than 60 % of trees).针对本次研究涵盖的所有公园、广场及花园，研究人员以乔木层面积与地表总面积的比值为计算依据，逐一计算得到其冠层指数（canopy index），并将该指数划分为3个等级：树木冠层覆盖占比低于30%为低覆盖型，占比介于30%至60%之间为中度覆盖型，占比高于60%为高覆盖型。
