Dataset: Evaluation of carbon in the National Forest of Térraba-Sierpe, Costa Rica.

This dataset contains the findings of a carbon stock inventory conducted by CATIE
(Centro Agronómico Tropical de Investigación y Enseñanza) in 2012. The aim of this project
was to measure and quantify carbon stocks at the ecosystem level (up to 3m deep) in the mangroves
located in the Térraba-Sierpe National Forest, Costa Rica. Fieldwork was carried out across 4 different sites, totaling
140 plots, where vegetation was surveyed and soils were sampled to provide estimates of total ecosystem carbon stock.
