These registers record a description of the tank, bore or well and associated equipment, and of the immediate surrounding area and buildings related to public watering places. Other details included refer to alterations, repairs and expenses. The date of establishment (in most cases), the cost, the terms of leasehold and names of lessees, and some notes by inspectors are also recorded. Each public watering place has the plan survey included and some revocations and failures are marked. Notes added after about 1925 are sparse, and many descriptions are incomplete.(7/387-93). 7 vols.
