收藏资源简介:
Albert F. (Al) H., cards, a form, greeting cards, a note, a punched card, and letters commenting on books such as The Sixth Man, art, articles in ONE magazine, successful lectures, classes, and the Midwinter Institute; as well as giving information about homosexual activities in Pittsburgh and mentioning restroom graffiti, rough trade, tea rooms, the Carnegie Museum, the Cathedral of Learning, Concord Café, the Cork and Bottle, Jenkin's Arcade, Mellon Square, Schenley Park, Schume's, University Grill, and the YMCA; and including a photograph of the author on stage in clothing suggesting Gay Nineties drag with a ruffled green skirt, red velvet jacket, and black feathered hat and boa. In addition to submitting clippings, he mentions the rantings and experiments of Dr. Robertiello and Dr. MacLean, states that his insurance is covering treatment of the other half, confirms the cruelty of the Veteran's Administration and the firing of the wrong workers, recounts radio news stating that the water tower climbers at the Western Correctional Institution uprising were mostly "perverts," quotes propaganda from a Catholic student paper, mentions that he must leave his heart in Pittsburgh, tells an anecdote about his gay friend and his landlady, agrees with Eugene de Savitsch about gay husbands and parents, and also includes a recounting by Herbst's sister-in-law of post office inspectors appearing at an educator's place of work and causing him to lose his job due to receiving obscene materials from California, which leads to his speculation on how that may have been revealed; and includes a response from William Lambert (W. Dorr Legg) (1958-1963)
