This file contain the original data table used to examine the relationship between dominant patterns of forest regeneration and landscape configuration indices in the Mesoamerican Biological Corridor (MBC) from 2000 - 2019. The data were used to examine if patterns of forest regeneration for each ejido in the MBC correlate with patterns of forest regeneration at the beginning (2000) and end (2019) of the study period, using the Spearman's Rank Order Correlation test in R Statistical Software. The data were also used to examine if patterns of forest regeneration and changes to forest configurations for each ejido varied regionally, between five municipalities. These data were tested using one way analysis of variance tests and Tukey's Honest Significant Difference tests in R Statistical Software. Each row of data is associated with an individual ejido in the MBC (Column name = FID, n = 156). Each of these individual ejidos lies within one of 5 municipalities (Column name = NOM_MUN, n = 5). Forest configuration indices (forest cover (f), non forest cover (nf), mean agricultural patch size (MeanAgChangeNorm), core index (Core), islet index (Islet), perforation index (Perforation), and fragmentation index (Frag)) are listed for both the year 2000 (00) and the year 2019 (19). Values of forest configuration change, calculated as the difference between 00 and 19 are also listed. Measures of regeneration include percent of total regeneration for each ejido (TotalRegen), percent of permanent regeneration for each ejido (PermRegen, percent of high permanence regeneration occurring at the end of the study period for each ejido (HC), and percent of medium permanence regeneration occurring at the end of the study period for each ejido (MC). Measures of forest regeneration were calculated using a cartographic model developed in ArcGIS Version 10. Measures of forest configuration were calculated using the Morphological Spatial Pattern Analysis in GuidosToolbox V 2.7 and FragStats V 4.2 programs. Authors of these data are: Alana M.
