Data set for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Energy Transition 2022 adopted by the Depute States on 4 October 2022. This is a plan-m.e.r. associated with the Revision Environmental Policy module Energy Transition adopted by Provinciale Staten on 14 December 2022.
The aim of this EIA is to provide insight into the environmental impacts of the integration of future development of wind and solar energy within the search areas of the Regional Energy Strategy (RES) 1.0 so that they can be weighted when defining the Energy Transition module.
The alternatives show how the objective can be implemented in different ways within the search areas. Alternative 4: feasible and affordable (net capacity) has been designed to investigate what the interpretation of the search areas looks like when optimising from the perspective of the electricity grid.
