Non-European Mathematics Manuscripts: Multilingual Translation Drafts and Modern LaTeX Sources
收藏资源简介:
Working corpus of modern LaTeX readers and translations for selected non-European mathematics manuscripts and historical mathematical texts. This satellite record is intentionally reader-facing: readable top-level PDFs come first, followed by compact TeX/source artifacts and current work packets. Large raw source drops, page-image working archives, superseded drafts, and broad provenance bundles are preserved on the main project landing and bulk-preservation record instead of being re-uploaded here on every update. Status at a glance. [#########-] front-facing reader set: reconstructed work-level PDFs and combined readers are current; [##########] al-Battani text stream: segments 1-100 are promoted as a trilingual Arabic/English/Chinese reference reader; [##########] al-Battani fixed-star catalogue coordinate layer: the dedicated work record 10.5281/zenodo.20539593 now carries the complete 485-row working catalogue with authoritative ecliptic longitude/latitude, magnitudes, north/south signs, modern identifications, Arabic/English descriptions for every row, TeX, data, scripts, and source witness. The description layer is now complete at the current working-edition level: Arabic and English descriptions are present for all 485 rows in the current data. [#######---] remaining al-Battani numerical table stream: the geography gazetteer has 269 locality entries (93 regional midpoint rows and 176 city rows), and a partial chronology/Canon-of-Kings working edition is included; chronology collation, zodiac, terms, houses, and auxiliary tables remain active reconstruction work. Current update. Promotes the complete al-Battani fixed-star catalogue to its own DOI, replaces the parent catalogue PDF/CSV/source packet with the 19-page coordinate-and-description edition, and keeps the broader non-European reader surface current. The reconstructed non-Battani work-level release and al-Battani v083 trilingual text/reference packet remain the current broader reader surface; the auxiliary numerical-table stream is still separate work in progress. Source and provenance layout. Project-generated TeX and compact current work artifacts are attached here. Full raw/provenance preservation is maintained on the main project record, concept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.20393488, so this record can be updated without repeatedly moving multi-gigabyte working archives. Workflow provenance: public-domain or openly available source witnesses are transcribed into TeX, translated where useful, checked locally, and published with artifacts so readers can inspect and improve the work. The default licensing target for project-generated transcription and translation layers is CC0 where legally available.
